Strategic Manager Research and Digital Transformation, Climate and Land Use Alliance

Lori Regattieri works at the intersection of digital transformation, strategic comms and policy strategy for just and sustainable technologies. 

An experienced movement builder and researcher, she has spent over 15 years working on progressive politics, climate justice, the rights of indigenous peoples, afro-descendants and local communities (IPADLC), and LGBTQIAPAN+ and queer issues, particularly in Latin America, the Global South, and Global Majority world.

Her research has focused on cybernetics, information theory and computation, digital methods, decolonial, equity and social justice, as well internet laws and policy issues.

Lori is a former Senior Fellow, Trustworthy AI at Mozilla Foundation, and received the Media Ecology Association’s 2024 Jacques Ellul Award for Outstanding Media Ecology Activism.

Her work has been published in Tech Policy Press, Branch Magazine, the Brazilian Journal of Communication Contracampo, Liinc em Revista, the Hypertext’14 Workshop Data Vizualisation Workshop, and others.
