The Engine Room’s new (and first ever!) zine is here!
In early fall, The Engine Room team took time out from daily life to engage in our first Deep Dive Week. This zine is a reflection of our week of explorations, learning, and nurturing our curiosity. We invite you to dive into the topics, thinking, and artistic collaborations that surfaced.
We all started with topics in mind and let them take us to new places. This is something that we realized we don’t get to do enough. It’s one of the beauties of the fraught internet that we sometimes forget – the ability to meander from page to page – swinging through the trees. It gave us energy, and opened perspectives on new and familiar topics.
This isn’t a publication of finished pieces. We left the raw edges, unfinished thoughts – and the possibilities for where we might go next as individuals and as a team. We hope you’ll catch some of the energy, creativity and motion that our Deep Dive Week gave us!
Join our Community Call
On November 14, 15:00 UTC, we’ll be hosting a community call to talk about bit about the thinking behind the week, including how it was designed and structured, what the experience was like and what we learned.
We’d also love to have a discussion with participants about what remote non-profits can do to support new ways of exploring, supporting curiosity and building connections.
