Our 2022 retrospective is up! Read it here.

Last year there was a lot to be celebrated at The Engine Room: We published path-breaking research at the intersection of climate justice and digital rights, dug deeper into our previous digital ID research and published findings on what digital IDs rooted in justice could look like, and published an online resource on tech tools for human rights documenters, in multiple languages.

We also moved forward in our journey towards our own increased digital resilience and that of our partners, continued to steward an engaged community of responsible data practitioners, and provided direct support to over 50 organisations from across the world.

To learn more about the work we did in 2022, our learnings from the year, and our plans for the future, head over to the retrospective – you can also find out more about some of the inspiring organisations we worked with last year.

If you’re an organisation working on issues related to furthering social justice, the retrospective might also give you some ideas on how we could support you with your own tech and data challenges!
